Endowment Campaign

The Readiness Center in collaboration with the Berrien Community Foundation has launched a $2 Million endowment campaign to help ensure the future of the Readiness Center for years to come.

Background
In the fall of 2007 the Board of Directors called for the development of a capital campaign, the first in the center's 29 year history, to create an endowment fund for Readiness Center Inc. The goal is to fund administrative expenses and teachers’ salaries from the interest on the endowment. The board recognizes the seriousness of launching a major gifts campaign such as this and as a result, a fundraising feasibility study was completed in early 2008. After reviewing the results and understanding that the community support is there despite the rough economic times, the campaign was launched in July 2008.
